Post 8 (FA WA WA WA WAHHHHH!)

SO SORRY for neglecting this blog this week! Little Man has been home with me, I have been cleaning and am WIPED at night. Not alot of energy to spare here. I can't wait for things to be back to normal next week!
Merry Christmas! (this is my life the past week)

Since the WISH book entered my house last Thursday, my 4 year old has been sleeping with it. We don't do storytime at night anymore, we look at the WB instead. I'd swear we have looked through it at LEAST a dozen times. He has about 6 things he NEEDS from Santa (one being a complete kitchen set complete with wall clock, microwave and coffee maker). PLUS he has re-discovered his Barney Christmas movie (EEK!). Dad came to visit this week and was greeted with a HUGE 'MEH-Wee CHWISSMAS, Gwampee!" (tee hee). The Santa hat made it's appearance on LM's head yesterday (much to delight of Leanne who comes over-she was in shorts).

And just now, I was made to sing Deck the Halls after being prompted with a "sing 'FA WA WA WA WAH, Momma!'".

On the other hand, I think this will be the year Little Man goes completely NUT-SO for C-mas (he has never really 'gotten' holidays/bithdays before). So SECRETLY, I am thrilled to begin celebrating the holiday so early but NEXT year, the Wish Boook won't be making an appearance in our home until OCTOBER. lol
Thank you Sears!
In the meantime, I have been working on some scrappy things (that aren't photographed yet :( ) and have some SUPER FUN NEWS to share (but I am supposed to keep it to myself awhile longer yet!) So I will leave you with this LO of Little Man from last year to get you inthe spirit ;)

Happy Friday Everyone! Thanks for popping in!

Post 6 (Upsy Daisy DT Call)

Upsy Daisy Designs is having a DT call and I have applied (you can read the call HERE). The competition is sure to be fierce (there is ALOT of serious talent out there-and I am lucky enough to call some of these ladies my friends!)
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I had ALOT of fun playing with these papers and mixing product lines. For example, the LO below uses 3 UDD lines (Vroom/green, Applesauce/floral & burgundy & Ice Cream Shoppe/ spotted column.)
Journalling reads: Note to self. Do not leave camera unattended at NYE party.
I was QUITE pleasantly surprised to find this photo on my camera. We had alot of fun that night but I had somehow missed seeing ANY of this!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
This LO uses ALOT of papers from the Vroom Vroom line.I must admit, I bought these papers in anticipation I would use them eventually and they ended up working PERFECTLY for my LO about DH and LM go cart riding in PEI on our summer vaca!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
And last but not least, I have a LO using the Sweet Slumber (pink) & Modello (brown) lines.
I have gone record before on how much I loved the Sweet Slumber line. I think it is pure genious to offer a masculine version on one side and a feminine version on the opposite.
You get twice the BANG for you BUCK!

The pink pattern pp, clouds & tree were all traced (onto the wrong side of the pp), hand cut and then outlined with black sharpie for dimension.
Thanks for coming by! Have a great day!
Best of luck to all the other applicants!

Post 5 (LCOM sketch reveal #2!)

I had SO much fun with the sketches this month over at LCOM. They worked so well with the YUMMY kit from Pink Paislee-it was a real breeze getting these LOs together. There are still TWO more sketchs to come (and chances to WIN!!) so PLEASE, make sure you come out and play along, you can't win if you don't PLAY!!

"I love you more too" is what Little Man says to us when he tells us he loves us. You gotta love how little kids jumble up the words at first. :)

Post 3. (Mixer 26)

WOW! The time sure is FLYING by this summer! Does it seem that way for you? Yesterday was wonderful, LM and I sat out and played in the S--U--N all afternoon (after some serious cleaning late in the AM and I might have even re-vived my tan a bit!)

I have a LO to share from our latest Mixer at Mix It UP! This mixer has an inspirational piece as well as a sketch. I did my best to take my color scheme from THIS. I am not sure if I messed it up or if I got it right. I am having a hard time with my eyes as my years advance! LOL

* * * * *

The LO is about DH and DS's 'buddy' relationship, they are getting to the point now where they just 'hang out' now. It's really cute and funny to watch.

PPs-Pink Paislee, Prima, Basic Grey. Bazzill scalloped CS

Alphas-American Crafts, Prima felt. Rubons-Prima, Creative Cafe Button

Hemp, unknown.

I am not sure if this LO is as pulled together as I think it is (remember, I said my eyes are going-LOL) but I REALLY am LOVING how it turned out. I don't normally mix different paper lines together very well but I am loving how the blue, coral, yellow & green are all in MAJOR contrast with each other.

Make sure to stop by and play with us. The winner of the August Challenges is eligible to win a kit from Scrapbook Circle !

Thanks for coming by and Happy Wednesday!
